Graduate Intern
678-310-0358 ext. 2009
Emma is a Georgia native who grew up in Smyrna and moved to Roswell in middle school, where she currently resides. She graduated from Roswell High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in studio art, from Georgia College & State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling at the University of North Georgia.
With a personal background in the arts, Emma has spent the past five years teaching art to children and teens in the Roswell area. She enjoys incorporating creativity into her work with clients, using it as a meaningful way to support expression and connection. During her undergraduate studies, she also worked closely with high school seniors navigating the college search process, as well as first-year college students adjusting to both the academic and social aspects of campus life.
Emma’s education and experience have prepared her to support children, adolescents, and young adults facing challenges such as anxiety, stress, depression, social concerns, and life transitions. Her passion for supporting individuals navigating high-pressure environments stems from her own early experiences as a gifted program participant and AP student. Having stepped into demanding leadership roles, she understands the unique anxieties, perfectionism, and burnout that often accompany high achievement and the pressures students face today.
Emma helps clients balance ambition with self-compassion, transforming the weight of expectations into personal growth. She is passionate about building strong, trusting relationships with her clients and creating a space where they feel heard, valued, and supported. Emma takes a client-centered approach and draws from DBT-informed and humanistic techniques to collaborate with clients in identifying goals that fit their individual needs. She is also passionate about supporting neurodivergent and queer clients and creating an affirming space for individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Outside of her work, Emma enjoys listening to music, crafting, and reading. Ask her about her latest art project! Emma is under the supervision of Kathleen Goodman, LPC.
