Molly Peterka

Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

678-310-0358 ext. 2011

Hi, my name is Molly Peterka. I completed my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Richmont Graduate University, a program known for integrating clinical excellence with spiritual formation. I am a native of Georgia and have spent the last 25 years in East Cobb with my husband Ken, raising our three grown children. In addition to my work in counseling, I am also an artist and hold a degree in visual arts.

My passion for entering the field of mental health grew out of my own personal experiences and a deep desire to walk alongside others through the hardships of life. I firmly believe that we are not meant to walk this path alone—we are created for connection, communication, and meaningful relationships.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults from all backgrounds, and I offer counseling that is person-centered, evidence-based, and integrative. For clients who desire it, I can incorporate faith and spirituality—including Christian perspectives—into the therapeutic process. This aspect of counseling is always optional and tailored to each individual’s preferences and values.

I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is an evidence-based treatment and the gold standard for addressing social anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and panic attacks. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and change negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and move toward lasting change. I work with children, teens, and adults facing a wide range of issues including adolescent and teen challenges, anxiety, depression, faith and spirituality concerns, life transitions, OCD, parenting at all stages, pregnancy and postpartum issues, stress, career coaching, and women’s issues.

My goal is to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard and understood. I walk alongside them with compassion, offering guidance and encouragement as they navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re experiencing emotional pain, navigating a transition, or simply seeking greater fulfillment, I am here to support you so you can achieve your goals and live a life filled with purpose, joy, and hope. I am honored to hold your hand through difficult times and help you move forward toward healing.
