Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia. I have experience working with a variety of clients from adolescents to adults presenting with concerns such as disordered eating, body image issues, anxiety, life transitions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and depression.
For all of us, life is often unpredictable and complex. We may find ourselves struggling with adjusting to major life transitions, feeling like anxiety is a constant presence in our lives, or experiencing depressive symptoms that make day-to-day life more difficult. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed in the midst of uncertainties. It can be helpful to have a safe place to process what is happening, explore current ways of coping with stressors, and identify alternatives that move you closer to your goals.
I strive to create a person-centered, safe space with each client to explore, identify, and work toward their goals and what they define as a life worth living. I incorporate various theoretical modalities such as Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you identify your values, become more aware of your thought patterns, and increase your coping skills to manage stressors effectively. My eclectic approach is non-judgmental and tailored to each individual client. Therapy is intended to be collaborative where we talk about what works for you (or doesn't work for you!) and decide on next steps together.
With help and support, you can gain more understanding about yourself and the life you want to live - one that is full and enables you to have goals that align with your values, connection with others, and a sense of purpose.
Outside of work, I can most likely be found reading a book (and most likely reading more than one at a time), on a hiking trail, or spending time with my pets.
