In addition to her clinical specialties, Megan is dedicated to supporting individuals with neurodiversity challenges, including Attention-Deficit/
Megan's expertise extends to women's health issues across the lifespan, with specialized training from Postpartum Support International. She addresses a spectrum of concerns including menstrual cycles, infertility, pregnancy, postpartum adjustments, menopause, and hormonal imbalances, providing comprehensive care for women at every stage of life.
An important part of Megan's therapeutic approach is her focus on inner child work, where she supports clients in rediscovering neglected aspects of their childhood. This may include addressing missed opportunities for play and exploration due to challenges like divorce, trauma, or excessive responsibility placed upon them at a young age. Megan facilitates healing by nurturing the inner child through therapeutic activities such as spending time in nature, exploring new hobbies, or engaging in playful exercises. By doing so, she helps clients heal from past wounds and develop emotional resilience.
In addition, Megan guides clients through shadow work, a process aimed at exploring and integrating suppressed aspects of the self. An example of this would be assisting a client who has repressed their exuberance and natural enthusiasm due to societal pressures. Through shadow work, Megan helps these individuals acknowledge the value of their authentic selves, promoting self-acceptance and reclaiming personal authenticity.
Megan graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology from Reinhardt University in 2009 and completed her Master of Social Work at Kennesaw State University. She has over a decade of experience in behavioral health, including specialized training in grief, loss, and chronic illness.
Based in Marietta, Megan serves clients across Georgia, including Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and surrounding areas.
For individuals seeking compassionate and effective therapeutic support, Megan Heller-Foley offers a safe and nurturing environment, dedicated to guiding clients towards healing, self-discovery, and empowerment.
