My name is Sarah Foster and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families. My areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, self-esteem issues, identity exploration, school issues, and life transitions. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, or you need a validating space, I am here for you.

I understand that it can be very challenging navigating changes in your life. It can be difficult finding someone who you can trust and share your experiences with. That’s why it is my main goal as a therapist to provide my clients with a validating, supportive space to explore their inner thoughts and practice using new skills without pressure from the outside world.

As your therapist, I would support you and guide you to achieving your goals by laying a firm foundation. Together we will explore and navigate your inner thoughts and feelings, define attainable goals for you to achieve, and discover and practice coping skills that work for you.

I completed my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University. I received my Master of Social Work from The University of Pennsylvania. I have experience working in a variety of clinical settings including community mental health, schools, therapeutic day programs, and outpatient therapy.

I am a relational, person-centered, and identity-affirming therapist committed to helping all my clients reach their full potential. I strongly believe that positive change comes from within, but we all need help from those around us at times.

I pull from a variety of therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Motivational Interviewing, Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT), and Strengths-Based Therapy. I also incorporate experiential and alternative therapeutic modalities into my practice including play, art, mindfulness, and music.
