Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

Welcome. My name is Jennifer. I believe one of the most courageous things we can do is reach out for help. My passion is helping clients get to the root of what is causing their distress and, together, find a path toward healing and wholeness. My desire is that you feel understood, seen, and known—that someone truly cares about what you are going through. As we walk through the difficult places, I will provide a warm, safe space where you are accepted just as you are.

I partner with individuals, couples, and families. In working together, my hope is that you will come to discover insights and tools for transformation you had yet to explore. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, addiction, infertility, and couples. I also enjoy working with clients who are dealing with shame, betrayal trauma, C-PTSD, childhood abuse and neglect, codependency, anger management, and borderline personality disorder. I draw on a person-centered approach, providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where you are respected and encouraged to explore your thoughts and emotions freely. I integrate cognitive-behavioral approaches (CBT/DBT) to explore how your thoughts and core beliefs may be affecting your present experience, while bringing a fresh perspective to your circumstances.

I work with clients across diverse challenges, bringing targeted expertise to each unique situation. I am an EMDR-trained clinician, providing trauma care to help clients process and heal from traumatic experiences and C-PTSD. For couples and marriages, I employ Gottman Method Couples Therapy and Family Systems Therapy, and for pre-marital counseling, I am certified in Prepare & Enrich. I support individuals and their loved ones who are navigating addiction. I draw on extensive experience and deep knowledge to guide them toward authentic, long-term recovery.

I offer compassionate support for individuals and couples navigating infertility, as well as those carrying the grief of reproductive loss. My approach honors the emotional, physical, and relational impact of this journey, creating a nurturing and grounded space for uncertainty, processing, meaning-making, and emotional healing. This path honors the depth of your experience, while gently helping you reconnect with hope, identity, and resilience. Throughout the year, I host support groups for those struggling with infertility and/or grief & loss.

A little more about me 🙂 For fun, I enjoy being in nature with my black lab and golden retriever—going hiking, kayaking, and to the beach. I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. Exploring new restaurants is always tasty, and I would love to do a 5-Star Michelin tour throughout the US someday.

Jennifer is under the supervision of Kristina Murr, LPC, CPCS.
