Hannah is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with children, teen, and adult clients on a variety of challenges, including behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. As a young professional, Hannah believes herself to be uniquely able to connect with the needs and culture of today’s teens and young adults. She also considers herself an ally to all racial groups as well as the queer community. As a therapist with a commitment to lifelong learning, she knows it is her responsibility to approach issues of diversity with humility, empathy, and openness.

Hannah received her Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2018 and her Master’s in Social Work in 2019. As a student, Hannah garnered experience via internships and volunteering that included assisted living for aging seniors, crisis counseling for sexual assault survivors, and case management and counseling for those living with chronic illnesses such as cancer and end-stage renal disease. As a proud alumni of the University of Georgia, Hannah participates in the UGA Mentor program by providing mentorship to current students with similar career interests.

Hannah worked full-time for two years as a social worker for dialysis patients with end-stage renal disease. Through this experience, she learned how to be an effective helper for people dealing with challenges such as chronic illness, aging, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief/loss. From there, Hannah transitioned to providing school-based therapy for elementary students in order to spend more one-on-one time with the people she was helping. Common challenges she worked with kids on were behavioral issues, ADHD, depression, and anxiety.

Hannah has a well-rounded set of experiences which enables her to work effectively with clients on a variety of problems they may be facing.

Her primary therapeutic approaches are cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies. CBT involves examining the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and finding ways to disrupt patterns in our lives that bring us distress. Exploring the mind-body connection is also helpful for alleviating symptoms of anxiety and stress.

We all exist at the unique intersection of our many different identities, experiences, and traits. No two people will experience the world in exactly the same way. If you’re searching for a therapist who knows that you are the expert of your own experience and wants to help you identify and reach your goals, reach out today to see if working with Hannah might be a good fit for you.
