Most people are doing the best they know how to do and as a therapist, it is my job to meet you wherever you may be in that journey. Given the right support, anyone can learn strategies and techniques to address overwhelming thoughts and feelings as well as destructive behaviors.
In addition to teaching you new coping skills, my holistic work emphasizes lifestyle modification as an integral piece of the wellness puzzle highlighting nutrition, proper sleep hygiene, thought patterns, movement and social connections. With compassion and respect, we will work together to form an actionable plan that leads you to mental wellness. Together, we’ll work to get to the root of the issue where you no longer just manage symptoms.
With more than 20 years of experience, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) specifically for women (aged 18+) who may be experiencing anxiety, phobias, grief, health anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, burnout, pregnancy and postpartum issues, as well as infertility. Many times a large part of my work with anxiety will be a focus on the many stressors modern women face including but not limited to relationship difficulties, parenting, caretaking family members and the invisible mental load we carry.Â
In addition, I am a mental health speaker who provides virtual corporate webinars and on-site presentations to companies across the United States. My presentations cover topics such as the importance of sleep hygiene for improved mental health, the connection between food and mood, the impact of loneliness, anxiety and stress, pregnancy and postpartum mental health, and using technology mindfully.
I deeply believe in the power of the human spirit. And sometimes that human spirit just needs a toolbox. Whether you are interested in learning more about my mental wellness groups or personal therapy sessions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
