Ashley Hooper

LCSW

678-310-0358 Ext. 2004

Welcome! My name is Ashley Hooper, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals navigate the challenges of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, fear and phobias. My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatments, particularly Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), all of which are highly effective in reducing OCD symptoms and improving overall quality of life.

Additionally, I am specialized in treating trauma through evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). Research shows that trauma can hinder progress in treating OCD, and I offer trauma processing therapy in addition to OCD treatment to ensure clients receive the most effective care. I am also trained in other types of therapeutic techniques, such as solution-focused (SFBT), narrative and motivational therapy.

Through ERP, I guide clients in facing their fears in a safe and supportive environment while resisting compulsive behaviors. This process helps to break the cycle of anxiety and avoidance, empowering individuals to regain control over their thoughts and actions. By integrating CBT, we work together to identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, creating new perspectives and strategies for managing anxiety.

I understand that seeking help for OCD can feel overwhelming, and I strive to create a compassionate, judgment-free space where clients feel heard, supported, and understood. My goal is to tailor treatment to each individual’s unique needs, equipping them with practical tools to face their challenges with confidence.

Whether you’re just beginning your journey or looking for additional support, I am here to help. Together, we can work toward building a life that feels more fulfilling, balanced, and aligned with your values.

Ashley is under the supervision of Sarah Foster, LCSW, and Dr. Naynette Kennett.
