Annika Zenn

Graduate Intern

678-310-0358 ext. 2005

While Annika is not a Georgia native and spent most of her childhood out West, she enjoys the simplicity and hospitality of the South. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in child advocacy, from Kennesaw State University. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Violence, Loss, and Trauma through Marshall University.

Annika has had experience working in clinics, schools, residential treatment facilities, family homes, and private practices. During her undergraduate program, she worked with the neurodivergent population, completing an internship at an autism center and working as a registered behavior therapist. She is drawn to working with children and adolescents ages 3 and up, particularly those with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Annika is passionate about making the therapeutic space comfortable and creative. She enjoys utilizing art and play therapy techniques, while also incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy and applied behavioral analysis concepts. With a calm, patient, and warm approach, Annika strives to help her clients learn how to regulate their emotions, build new skills, and heal through a combination of experiential approaches and talk therapy.

She believes that working with children and their caregivers supports long-term change by helping skills carry over into daily life and empowering the whole family. She emphasizes the importance of building strong rapport with her clients and creating a space where they feel validated, seen, and supported.

Outside of work and school, Annika enjoys spending time with her husband and cat, playing the piano, and doing arts and crafts.

Annika is under the supervision of Kathleen Goodman, LPC.
