The adolescent years can be a difficult time for teens and families. Teenagers have to cope with many physical, mental and emotional changes during these years. Teenagers often face various stressors including fitting in with peers, succeeding in school, getting along with family members, and making decisions about the future. Because many of these pressures cannot be avoided, it is perfectly normal to worry and/or feel down at times. However, when teens’ moods disrupt their ability to function on a day to day basis, it could be time to seek additional support.
We offer support to teenagers to help them through tough times and times of transition. We use a combination of Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to provide a safe and supportive environment for teens to process stressors, explore solutions to difficult life problems and identify ways to manage thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
